Columbia,
is a small town nestled in the Connecticut River Valley of Coos County, New Hampshire. Surrounded by the Great North Woods, Columbia is rich with nature and wonderful views. It was first chartered in 1762, and originally named Preston for Richard Graham, Viscount Preston of Scotland, it was only later renamed Columbia in honor of the explorer Christopher Columbus. Its small community has a strong history that's seated deep within the hills of New Hampshire. With Mount Monadnock and the Connecticut River to the West and the edge of the Great North Woods New Hampshire to the East, it is a wonderful location that sees the best of all worlds, both civilized and wild.
